If you’ve ever stood over a golf ball with six different swing thoughts running through your head at once — keep your head down, slow backswing, don’t sway, finish balanced, grip pressure, tempo — you already know the problem I want to talk about today.
Golf gives you a hundred things to think about. On the range, that’s fine. You can isolate one piece, work on it, feel it, move to the next. But on the course? All that information doesn’t disappear just because you’re trying to actually play. It piles up in your head right when you need it least — over the ball, about to make a swing that counts.
I’ve felt this myself plenty of times. Some of my best rounds happened when I somehow cleared all of that out and just had one simple idea in my head. Some of my worst happened when I was mentally juggling everything I’d worked on that week, all at once, mid-round.
So I want to try something.
I’m running a small experiment, and I’d love for some of you to be part of it.
Here’s how it works:
- You tell me a bit about what’s been frustrating you in your game lately, what you’ve been working on in practice, and how you’re feeling about your game right now.
- I’ll take all of that and hand you back one simple thought — not a mechanical checklist, just one clear, plain-language idea to carry with you for your next round.
- After you play, you let me know if it helped.
That’s it. No app to check between shots, no swing analysis software, nothing else to juggle. Just one thing to hold onto instead of everything.
I’m curious whether this actually helps people play looser, more confident golf — and honestly, I’m curious what patterns show up across everyone’s answers too. If it works the way I think it might, this could turn into something bigger down the line. But for now, I just want to see if it’s useful.
👉 Fill out the quick form below and I’ll send your one thought before your next round.
Give it a shot on your next round and let me know how it goes — I’ll be sharing some of the results (anonymously, don’t worry) in future posts and videos.
