Book Review – Golf is Not a Game of Perfect

Golf is Not a Game of Perfect by Bob Rotella: Bob Rotella is one of the industry’s renowned mental game minds and I actually first heard of this book through a podcast I listen to called “On the Mark” with Mark Immelman, PGA Tour on-course reporter (small plug but definitely recommend this podcast). Rotella has worked with countless professional golfers; Darren Clarke, Tom Kite, Nick Price, and more. Rotella focuses on the mental game in this book, arguably an element of golf that is just as important as the mechanical swing, and I think he does a fantastic job of relaying principles in a readable and engaging way. One point of focus talks about being conservative on the course, but being confident in your own swing which I think a lot of amateur golfers can relate to. Not everyone has to swing exactly like Tiger Woods to be successful, even though we all may want to. I think this is a must read for anyone trying to really hone in on the mental aspect of their game. Let me know what you think!
