RJR Golf is the start of something that I have wanted to create for a long time. It is about taking my experiences in the golf world and sharing them out so that others may find enjoyment, fun, and maybe even a little insight. For whoever may have stumbled upon this page, my name is Mark. I, probably like many others, have had a club in my hands since I was young. I have been playing GOLF, not golf SWING (an explanation on the emphasis later on), on and off for around fifteen years now and have really become infatuated with the game for the last five or six years now – yes, right around when 🐯 won #15. Ever since, I have become obsessed with the prospect of improving my game through instruction, course management, literature, mental game, and more. By no means am I a perfect golfer, hell some may say I am not even good (only a 9 handicap), but I think I can offer a lot for those looking for a related read or looking to improve.
I would say the goal here is pretty simple. I’d like to offer my experiences up for those who are looking for a good read, looking for maybe some tips on the game if they are just starting out, or for any of those who might like a course review (particularly in the northern Virginia area and some other locations in the mid-Atlantic) for a new course they are about to play. I certainly don’t have all the answers, I am not sure anyone does with this game, but here’s to hoping that everyone who comes across these posts finds something interesting or helpful and that we can all improve as golfers and as people. The exciting thing about golf is that you can always get better and that’s why we are all addicted!
“Confidence is the most important single factor in this game, and no matter how great your natural talent, there is only one way to obtain and sustain it: work.”
